Healthy Families Program

Healthy Families is a voluntary program that offers free in home visits to parent(s) who are expecting a baby or have a newborn infant. The goal of the program is to work with overburdened or at-risk families who are at risk for child abuse and neglect and other adverse childhood experiences.

Healthy Families services are offered voluntarily, intensively, and over the long-term (3 to 5 years after the birth of the baby).

Positive outcomes of the program include:

Reduced child abuse

Dereased pre-term, low birthweight babies

Improved parent-child interactions and school readiness - TEST - TEST - TEST
